Once the excitement of opening and playing with Christmas presents had subsided a little we set about packing the 3pk, complete with selected Christmas gift, into the car ready for the drive to Folkestone to see Tim’s family.
The drive was a long one, with the highlight of the trip being the Dartford Crossing – for some reason the 3pk like going over bridges!
We arrived in Folkestone 5 hours after leaving Warrington – it is a long way!
This was the first time that pk1 and pk2 had been down to Folkestone so they had a lot of new family members to meet – they were both very excited at the prospect of meeting their new “Grandma & Grandads!”
The 3pk received even more presents when we arrived – so THANK YOU.
They then spent the next 4 hours running around the house playing with toys and generally being very over excited – they finally sucumbed to tiredness just before 10pm – not a moment too soon I hasten to add.
The day got off to a very early start – we left Northwich at 7am as we were picking pk3 up at 8am from Wrexham.
We picked the little fella up and returned to Warrington to await the arrival of pk1 and pk2. They arrived at 9am and the fun began.
Father Christmas hadn’t left any presents under the Christmas Tree so the 3pk decided to go and play in the play room, where surprise surprise Father Christmas had left their presents!!
The room was soon filled with over-excited children, including Tim & I, and a pile of wrapping paper.
The 3pk received lots of fantastic presents – so THANK YOU to everyone who asked Father Christmas to bring them something.
This was our first Christmas together and we were both as excited as small children as we had no idea what our gifts were to each other.
We were downstairs by 8 and that was without being woken up by the pk’s as they were at their other houses!
We spent an hour or so opening our presents, I have to say my presents were great – I particularly liked the Manchester United Newspaper cuttings book, funnily enough I had bought Tim a Spurs one.
After present opening we got dressed and made our way across to Northwich as we were having our Christmas dinner with our family in Northwich.
We had a fantatsic time at Auntie Carol and Uncle Harry’s – this was the first Christmas that I had spent with them and my cousins and off course most importantly my god-daughter Amy. We drunk rather a lot of alcohol and ate a large amount of food – it was great!
On the 17th December Tim & I went into Manchester to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Whilst we were there we decided to go on the Wheel, as we had been on it the previous year at Christmas and thought it would be nice to go on it again.
We entered our capsule and off we went on our little trip to look over the roof tops of Manchester City centre – to my surprise when we got to the top Tim got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife – I accepted and became the owner of a beautiful princess cut diamond ring.
We went home and drank a bottle of Champagne that we had been keeping for a special occasion and Tim worked on his email to everyone telling them our happy news!
BTW Tim is also benefiting from the engagement – not only does he get me as his wife, but he will also become the owner of an X-box 360, I am not sure how he is going to fit that on his finger but I am sure he will give it a good go!!!!
Yesterday Miss Emilie Scarlett Patricia made her acting debut in the annual Mums & Tots nativity – she was an angel.
Unfortunately there aren’t any photos to substantiate this as in true diva fashion she refused to have her photo taken!!!
Later in the evening Master Daniel Graham advanced from King to Chief of Sheep in the school production of “It’s a Party”
He had a line to deliver this time – I am so tired even counting shepards doesn’t help!
He delivered his line beautifully and unlike his sister took every opportunity he could to have his photo taken.
