Christmas Day 2007 – Part 1

Surprisingly we woke up early this morning but, to the relief of Mummy and Tim, not too early. Just as we woke up we heard Mummy saying “Tim I don’t think Father Christmas has been as there are no presents on the end of my bed.” We quickly checked the end of our beds and we were relieved to see that there was a pile of presents at the end of our beds. We got all the presents into Mummy and Tim’s bedroom and sat on the end of the bed and opened them.

Emilie then suggested to Mummy that her presents might have been too big for Father Christmas to leave on the end of her bed and that she should go downstairs and check to see if he had left them downstairs. Mummy thought this was a good idea so we all made our way downstairs and as soon as we got downstairs we noticed that the mince pie and carrot had been eaten and the beer and milk drunk – which could only mean one thing – Father Christmas had definitely been!!

We opened the lounge door and we were greeted with a sea of presents – it was brilliant! We spent over and an hour opening them all and we got lots of fantastic presents.
When we were finished Mummy asked Emilie to start taking some of her present up to her room so that we had space in the lounge to play with some of the other presents we had received, when Emilie got to her room she was surprised to find that an art desk had appeared in her room whilst we had been downstairs opening our presents – we hadn’t heard Father Christmas come back, he must have been very quiet.

Emilie was soon sat at her desk drawing, Daniel was learning how to become a rock star by playing on his new guitar which works on the x-box and Tim sat transforming his Optimus Prime Transformer whilst Mummy started cooking our Christmas Lunch.

Soon Mummy was calling us all to sit at the table so that we could eat our Christmas Lunch, we had a traditional lunch, which we had decided upon and asked Mummy to cook for us. Mummy had even got us some crackers and special champagne.

After lunch the playing and drawing resumed.

Tim has just gone to collect Joshua so that the present unwrapping fun can start again!!
