I am not usually one for getting nervous however over the past week I have had butterflies in my stomach as the moment of being introduced to Timâ??s family drew ever closer â?? I was dreading it!
For one I was going to have to leave the comfort of the North and head down South, how would I understand them?
However, after spending a nice weekend meeting all and sundry (Greta-Mum, Mark, Alex-Sister, Jerry, Chris-Brother, Sarah, Cameron, David-Dad, John-Uncle, Fiona-Auntie, Ellie-Cousin, Frances-Cousin) I can safely say I do not know what I was worrying about â?? none of them had 2 heads!!!Everyone made me feel very welcome and it was nice to finally put names to faces and I could actually understand them â?? perhaps living with a southerner helped!!

Pk1 went on his school trip today to Knowsley Safari Park â?? as usual with a 6 year old you donâ??t get to find out a lot about the trip â?? all we know is that he saw lots of â??monkeysâ? with big pink bottoms!!
I wonder what the pink bottomed â??monkeysâ? made of the pink faced monkeys on the bus!!”

Well what a weekend we have just had â?? I never imagined for one moment that I would watch one of my parents get married â?? it just doesnâ??t seem right.
Anyway the weekend started on the Saturday afternoon with us all departing from Bembridge Station on the 3pm express service to Cheddleton, once we had located the Red Lion at Ipstones â?? our base for a couple of nights, we set off for the infamous caravan park to meet up with some of the clan.
We eventually returned to the Red Lion where copious amounts of alcohol were consumed in order that all attending the wedding the next day could settle their nerves, actually we all just wanted to get drunk!
The wedding day dawned, for us a little early than we would have liked with pk 2 & 3 deciding that 6am would be a great time to start the day, our heads told us otherwise! Pk1 was not staying with us â?? he was tasked with looking after Uncle Michael & Grandad, it is a shame when a 6 year old is the responsible one!
I then proceeded to spend the morning in bed nursing my hangover and pk3 joined me at some point as eating his breakfast had worn him out and Tim entertained pk2!
We subsequently made our way to Kingsley & Froghall station to meet the Bridal party and make the short train journey to Cheddleton where the service was held in the Waiting Room, it was a lovely service â?? both Dad & Pauline looked very smart and also more importantly very happy. After the service we boarded the Wedding Express and started on our journey up and down the track for the remainder of the afternoon, the food was great, the drinks flowed and a lot of catching up was done with members of the respective families â?? it should be noted that this event was also Tim and Joshâ??s introduction to my Family, we canâ??t be that scary though as they didnâ??t run away!!!

Daniel took part in his first school sports day today – competing for The White Knights, as yet we do not have accurate details of this event, we need to have a conversation with Uncle Michael, who kindly attended on behalf of Tim & I.
According to Daniel he won 13 – nil and was given a medal but didn’t want it as it cost too much money and he didn’t have any money with him to pay for the medal – your guess is as good as mine.

As summer seems to have arrived we thought it only appropriate to give the paddling pool its annual outing today – this year we have a new pool.
This pool is by now means small, believe me it took well over 10 minutes to blow up the sides and that was using an electric pump – thank god!!
As for filling it with water – just to fill it a few centimetres took a good 15 minutes so needless to say it won’t be being filled up too much as we can’t afford to take out a 2nd mortgage just to pay for the water bill.
Daniel dived straight into the pool, having previoulsy changed out of his uniform and into his trunks, he had a great time splashing arround and even managed to encourage Uncle Michael in for a dip – pity Uncle Michael didn’t think about not having a change of clothes with him!!!!
Emilie wasn’t so keen but I think that was down to the fact that her rather over excited older brother kept splashing her with water, I am sure given time she will come to love playing in there with Josh.”

This weekend Tim & I made the most of being a pk free zone and took ourselves off to London.
The reason for our trip was simple Tim wanted to watch Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith at The Odeon in Leicester Square and I wanted to watch U2 at Twickenham – and before you ask – no they were not playing rugby just a fine selection of their songs.
Friday saw us taking in the sights of Covent Garden and Leicester Square before watching the film, which I hasten to add was actually rather good oh and I managed to buy a much needed new pair of shoes, I had left the pair I was planning to take at home accidently!
On Saturday morning we did the “tourist” thing and went for a flight on The British Airways London Eye – the views were amazing, check out the photos!
Saturday evening was spent at the concert which was excellent, obviously I am not going to say anything different seeing as I am a huge fan but even Tim enjoyed himself.
The weather was fantastic whilst we were down there, if a little too hot, it was 35 degrees on Sunday when we left, needless to say as we headed North the temperature dropped and by the time we got back to Warrington it was raining!!!

Tim is 29 today – he is worried that he is getting old but given that I am 32 this year he has absolutely nothing to worry about,
Despite his years he is now the proud owner of a light sabre and needless to say it was straight out of the box so that he could play with it before going to work!

As it is nearly Tim’s birthday Daniel & I decided that we would surprise him with a premature birthday cake on Sunday, the reason being none of the pk’s will be with us on Wednesday evening and we can’t have Tim eating all the cake.
Daniel managed to keep the secret for over 3 hours and then he finally caved in at the dinner table, when he announced to us all that if he went to the toilet would I wait for him before I gave Tim his cake.
Needless to say Tim heard and the surprise was spoiled – however the consumption of the cake by PK3 (Josh) provided us all with a good laugh – the pictures will be posted here soon!

Apparently having a playroom full of toys, a selection of dvds to rival Tim’s collection, an action man bike, roller blades and numerous other toys still doesn’t stop a six year old from uttering those truly annoying words “I’m bored”.
Any suggestions to alleviate his boredom would be greatly accepted – we will even consider hiring him out for manual labour.
3pk were out in the garden playing at 8:30am – annoying the neighbours rather than Tim & I, however this was short lived, it wasn’t long before they were all arguing.
Since then PK3 has retired to bed and PK1 & PK2 have managed to tidy up the playroom, not without a lot of whinging I hasten to add.
It is quiet now as they are engrossed watching Postman Pat.
Tim is also happily playing with his toys – his helicopter.

Every car should have a fat smoker!
Apparently he doesn’t mean a 20 stone cigarette smoking individual but a big fat exhaust pipe that makes lots of noise – obvious really!!

Hi all!
This is the first diary entry up here so typically this will be the usual welcome to the site, go have a look around.
I have to say it doesn’t do much, literally just this diary and a photo gallery of all the kids doing what they do but thats all we needed here really.
Incase you are wondering why it is called 3pk let me explain – pk stands for passion killers, a term that we affectionately coined for our offspring! The suffix to pk was decided on by age therefore Daniel – PK1; Emilie – PK2; Joshua – PK3.
Having a shiny digital camera means there will be plenty of pictures put up here so you can keep coming back for updates; Alli and I will try to keep the diary updated as often as possible.
If you’re feeling particularly technical you can use the RSS feed to receive updates; personally i only know a couple of people out of work who’ll even know what that means.
