This morning I received 2 beautifully hand made valentine’s cards from pk1 and pk2.
pk1 went for a traditional heart design whilst pk2 went for a more abstract approach (lots of squiggles!).
They are lovely cards and I now have them on my desk at work.
The 3pk and pkp went to Thomas The Tank Engine at Cheddleton today – a treat from Grandad and Pauline.
The 3pk had a good time and enjoyed riding on the engines, steam and diesel much to the satisifaction of pk1. Even pk3 enjoyed himself and he was full of a cold – bless!
pk1 even had a hold of a Little Owl – which he proclaimed to be very heavy – it was a good job he didn’t get to hold the Eagle Owl.

Miss Emilie Scarlett Patricia is 3 years old today!
The prospect of presents and cards was just too much for the little lady and it took her some convincing that she needed to eat her breakfast before she could see if Father Christmas had bought her any presents – apparently Father Christmas brings her birthday presents!
We decided she need to eat breakfast before she opened the presents otherwise the consumption of food would just not happen! Anyway breakfast was a quick affair and the move was made into the lounge where low and behold there was a pile of presents waiting for her.
She opened all her presents, no assistance allowed from anyone including her brothers – although she insists on helping everyone when it is their birthday.
After opening the presents she got dressed in her princess dress and then played with her new toys until her Daddy picked her up for a couple of hours.
Upon her return her party started and family & friends came round for the afternoon bringing with them more cards and presents.
She loved you all singing Happy Birthday to her before she blew out the candles on her butterfly and fairy cake, made by Grandma, and she loves all her presents – she is wearing the pyjamas that Auntie Jennifer, Uncle Mike and Amy bought for her and she has earmarked the top that Auntie Carol & Uncle Harry bought for wearing tomorrow – along with her lipstick of course!!

Usually uttered when the farmer has been muck spreading, she blames the cows!!
Well what a relaxing evening I had when I got in from work – instead of the usual rush to get all the jobs whilst dinner is cooking I was able to take it easy this evening as pk1 and pk2 decided they were going to help me with the jobs!
pk1 mixed the batter for the toad in the hole, emptied the dishwasher, set the table and folded the clean clothes ready fro me to iron.
pk2 assisted with the emptying of the dishwasher and put the clean underwear away in the relevant persons underwear drawer.
They are both available at good rates for household chores!!
Pk4 arrived safely this lunchtime, he weighs in at a healthy 4kg and he has been named x-box 360.
As you may have guessed by now the pk is not infact human but machine.
Tim has his new “thing” now which menas I will now become laptop and x-box 360 widow for the forseeable future – not sure why I agreed to it’s purchase now!
I am sure the 3pk will love playing with it though – as a lesson in life is you have to share your toys – so Tim needs to adhere to this as well!!!!!
The youngest Pk is 2 today, I am not quite sure where the last 12 months has gone to and Tim definitley doesn’t know where the last 24 months have gone!
We went out yesterday afternoon for pk3’s birthday treat – a trip on the Wheel in Manchester.
Surprisingly pk2 and pk3 loved the wheel and it was pk1 that was scared on the first ascent – however he was much better on the subsequent rotations!
After the wheel we came home and had a birthday dinner – complete with a cheeky monkey birthday cake. Pk1 carried the cake in and we all sang “Happy Birthday” to pk3 who then proceeded to demolish his slab of cake as if it was going out of fashion!!!
After the cake it was present opening time, we know it was a day early, but we wanted pk3 to benefit from his presents in the morning as he was with us for a limited time today.
The JCB toolbench was accepted gracioulsy however, the growling tiger torch (from Auntie Carol & Uncle Harry) was a hit though and was taken to bed by the little man!
The first thing we heard this morning was the growling tiger!!!

That isn’t much to say about New Year’s Eve apart from we spent the evening with Michael & Alison in The Brook in Sale – where we all consumed a vast amount of alcohol and got rather drunk!!!!!
