Emilie’s belated birthday treat

Today Emilie did the final part of her birthday present – she went to Slattery’s for an Easter chocolate making course.

Emilie was very excited when Mum picked her up & this excitement grew when she arrived at Slattery’s. By the time Emilie had made it to the classroom she was almost bursting with excitement.

Mum left Emilie in the capable hands of Julie the teacher and went for a look around the shop and partook in a giant bacon bap from the Dining Room.

At 12 noon Mum went back to the classroom to collect Emilie. Emilie was still beaming even after 3 hours. Her morning had started with a little lesson about chocolate and then she began making goodies.

Emilie made truffles, a rabbit lolly pop, a sunshine lolly pop, an egg lolly pop, half a white chocolate Easter egg filled with truffles & a dark chocolate egg!

Best of all she got to bring all the goodies home!

Emilie loved her chocolate class & can’t wait to go back again for some more lessons.

The Teenager

Today the eldest 4pk officially becomes a teenager, he has been practicing his teenage attitude since the age of 3 & he had almost perfected it!

Sadly for Dan today is a school day so he had to get up & get dressed quickly this morning so he could open his presents.

He got lots of money from family which we are sure he will spend wisely (!) and he got Mr Grumpy pyjamas and the Ducati picture from Em, Josh & Harry.

Mum & Dad got him a book The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole and a Yamaha keyboard.

Happy 13th Birthday Dan we hope you have a great day!

Emilie’s 1st REAL gig!

We all love music in our house; Mum & Dad really love music and enjoy going to gigs & tonight they took Emilie to her 1st real gig (Mum likes to try & forget about the Hannah Montana show a few years ago!) and what a 1st gig it was – Emilie spent an evening watching Florence & The Machine.

The 2 hour concert was amazing – Emilie listened in awe of the performance given by Florence; her voice was so powerful as she sang song after song after song.  Emilie also loved the amazing cape that Florence wore but she wasn’t particularly impressed with Mum when she started dancing!

Here are some of the pictures Mum took at the gig.

Emilie has taken her t-shirt into school today to show her class mates & teacher, we think her teacher will be surprised with her taste in music after all most of the girls in Emilie’s class have been talking about going to see JLS this week – an idea that thankfully repulses Emilie.

We are glad that Emilie enjoyed her 1st real gig & we hope she gets to go and see lots more live music.

And finally, Emilie & Mummy both decided they want to be like Florence when they grow up!

Haircut for Harry

For quite a while now Daddy has been saying that Harry needs a haircut but Mummy has been saying he doesn’t!

Today Mummy finally relented & took Harry for a trim, it was only the 2nd time Harry has had his haircut!

Harry sat on Mummy’s knee beautifully whilst Jenny, one of the lovely ladies at our family hairdressers Fuss Salon, cut the sides of his hair.

The sitting still soon stopped though once Jenny started to cut the back. Mummy decided it would be good for Harry to have a break & so whilst Emilie had her hair done Harry set about tidying up the salon!!

He swept the floors beautifully & helped rearrange the shelves, thankfully Helen one of the owners of Fuss is very patient!

Harry eventually let Jenny trim a bit off his hair at the back, possibly not as much as Daddy would have liked, but it’s a start.

Mummy has said Daddy can take Harry for his next haircut.

Warrington v Lymm u13

Warrington played away against Lymm this morning.

Dan had a good match providing great support on the wing and doing some amazing runs which show why his nickname is “Rocket.”

He didn’t see much of the ball though as his team mates seem to have an aversion to using the left wing.

Warrington won 24 points to 5, another victory for the team.

Turkey dinner in March?!

This afternoon we went to Auntie Jennifer & Uncle Mike’s house to help them eat a rather late turkey that took up residence in their freezer in December.

We were joined their by Uncle Graham, Auntie Carrie and our 3 other cousins.

We had a great time playing, making lots of noise & demolishing the delicious dinner that Auntie Jennifer & Uncle Mike prepared.

Training Walk

We did another training walk for The Moonwalk we are doing in May to raise money for breast cancer charities.

We did 4 miles tonight in an hour so managed to maintain a good pace.

Mum & I are walking to Auntie Jennifer’s on Saturday which is 12 miles away – this will be the furthest I have walked.

Please sponsor me, Mum & Auntie Beverly every little helps!!

Moonwalk Training

As the weather was so nice when Mum got home from work we decided to do our Thursday evening training walk earlier than usual.

We took Harry & Holly with us and we managed to walk 3.88 miles in 1 hour and 2 minutes; this was slower than normal but we had to wait loads of times at crossings for all the traffic to clear – a downside of going out at rush hour.

Harry kept us entertained by pointing out all the cars & birds on our route and singing jingle bells to us!

We’ve got a rest this weekend but then on 10th March we are planning on walking 12 miles!

Taking An Important Call

Harry likes to do lots of things whilst sitting eating at the table, his latest thing now he’s stopped putting his feet up on the table is to pretend he’s talking on the phone whilst munching Shreddies. I should point out he’d already had his breakfast, this was more like a mid morning snack!

Try Scoring Session

I had a bit of a successful morning at rugby today with not only Mum watching me but also my Grandad John and Nana Rosie. I had  games against Lymm who also brought Manchester with them. This mean three games which I got stuck into pretty quick and got 2 tries in our first game which we won 7-6, then another 3 tries in our second game  which we won 13-11 against one of Manchester’s teams! We then played their other team and beat them 14-8 and I got another 4 tries bring my total for the day to 9!!!

The picture is me just about to put the ball down for my 8th try of the day.

That was a lot, the most I’d ever got before in one day was 4 tries so I’ve got a lot to do to beat that again!

Ducati Shop

Dan went to the shop of his dreams today – the Ducati shop.

We drive past it on a regular basis and Dan always looks longingly through the windows.

Dan had a good look round and came out of the shop with a mug, sticker & numerous catalogues.

No bike yet but that will come!
