When Dan got home from school today this had been delivered by the postman.
It’s a postcard from his Head of House, it has the following message on the back:

Congratulations on an excellent set of IOU’s. You have settled down to a good pattern in year 8 and I hope that you can continue with this fantastic hard work.

Mum & Dad are very proud.
I’ve been to the hospital today to have my ears checked – this is me in the soundproof room having a hearing test.
I had hoped I’d be discharged today as I’ve not had any problems again this winter with my ears – but I wasn’t & I’m a little sad.
Mum has explained to me that I need to go back again in 6 months as I have a hole in my left ear drum that they need to keep an eye on.
The hole is making me a bit deaf which helps explain why I’m sometimes noisy!
Daniel, Emilie & Harry have tucked into pancakes tonight.
Favoured toppings were nutella and jam.
I received my birthday present from my lovely Auntie Carol & Uncle Harry today; it is a purple hairdryer!
I’ve not had my own hairdryer before so I’m really excited about using it – I’m going to wash my hair tonight just so I can dry it!
Well what can I say – Dad must really love Harry either that or he’s lost his mind.
It’s very rare for the light sabres to be taken off the wall & played with.

A disappointing result today as Warrington were beaten by Macclesfield. There were a few dubious decisions from the Macclesfield referee.
The boys played really well & the game this season wasn’t the whitewash it was last year.
Oh the joy of being out and about shopping when your nearly two year old decides he doesn’t want to do what he’s told to.
The staff at Marks & Spencer were somewhat bemused at this child laying on the floor refusing to co-operate in the slightest with his Dad just standing there ignoring the tantrum!
Fortunately he got bored of stropping and got up again so we could carry on with our shopping; don’t suppose it’ll be the last time Harry does that!
Look who got a Valentines!!
It would appear that Emilie has an admirer – it is Niall who is one of Harry’s friends.
Niall is besotted with Emilie & often shouts her name out.
Emilie mentioned a few months ago that she would like a butterfly cake for her birthday so Mum made her one!
We think she likes it.
