Ooh – Aah
Remember remember the 10th of November gun powder, treason and plot!
Yes we know it should be the 5th of November but due to the fact that this fell on a week night we had to wait a few extra days for our fireworks – we weren’t at home the weekend before the 5th either – so we just decided we would annoy our neighbours tonight instead.
Since waking up this morning we have been asking when we can let the fireworks off, Mummy (Alli) and Daddy (Tim) told us it wouldn’t be until after dinner and then only if we ate all our dinner up – needless to say our pasta bakes were eaten in record time, unfortunately it was the longest time ever to eat pasta bake as Joshua isn’t very keen on those things called vegetables, he needed a lot of convincing to eat the red pepper and courgettes but we got there eventually.
Then it was time to wrap up warm and go into the garden and enjoy making patterns in the air with some sparklers, we really like sparklers which is handy really as we had 30, needless to say we didn’t get round to using them all so we have put some away for New years eve.
With the sparklers done we moved onto the main attraction of the night – very loud fireworks courtesy of Grandad, for some reason he had bought them along to Daddy’s (Tim’s) surprise party (Mummy (Alli) and Daddy’s (Tim’s) Wedding) in June but he was not allowed to set them off as there was no fire warden on duty – never mind it meant we had great fun tonight.
There was lots of oohing and aahing as the fireworks displayed their magic. Emilie and Josh loved shouting out what colours they could see as the fireworks exploded. We laughed a lot at the catherine wheels that Daddy (Tim) had nailed to the fence.
Before long the fireworks were all over for another November but at least we might get some more on New years eve.
