The Run Up
The wedding plans had been underway since January, when over dinner one evening we decided that we would take the plunge and get married in 2007, once this decision was made we had to decide how and when we were going to do it.
For various reasons, this wasnâ??t a traditional marriage; for starters we have the 3pk!
It was decided that we would have a small simple ceremony with just our children and witnesses in attendance and that we would have a party for all our friends and family, however we thought it would be good fun to surprise everyone and so the plan was hatched to have the surprise birthday party for Tim.
We asked Beverly and Gez to be our witnesses at the end of January and at the same time swore them to secrecy â?? something they achieved with style â?? so thanks to them.
From January to May we spent quite a bit of time finalizing plans for our big day including the purchasing of clothes for the children, as we were surprising everyone we couldnâ??t tell the children about the wedding as they may have let the secret slip. Emilieâ??s dress was bought in February and in order to ascertain if it would fit her we simply measured it against the dress she had for Uncle Michael and Auntie Alisonâ??s wedding. Daniel and Joshuaâ??s suits were bought under the guise that the there might have been a problem with the suits for Uncle Michael and Auntie Alisonâ??s wedding â?? so thank you to Uncle Michael and Auntie Alison for deciding to get married 6 weeks before we did!
