Saturday finally arrived, not that I slept much as I was rather excited/nervous and I was also sharing a bed with Emilie! The morning had had to be planned with military precision as we had a lot to do before the ceremony at 11am at Warrington Register Office.
Beverly, Emilie and I left the hotel at 8am as Beverly and I were due at the hairdressers for 8:30am. Once we had finished at the hairdressers we went back to the house, prior to leaving the hairdressers Beverly had phoned Tim and told him to leave the house so that we didnâ??t see each other.
Once back at the house Beverly and I went to get ourselves ready whilst everyone else got themselves ready and made sure the children were also dressed. It was a hectic hour, particularly when Gez lost the rings for a couple of minutes just before he was about to be collected by Tim to go up to the Register office.
Tim arrive back home just after 10am and at this point Tim, Gez, Lorna and the boys left for the Register office and 15 minutes later Simon, Beverly, Emilie and I left the house in the lovely silver Mercedes that Beverly and Simon had acquired for us as a surprise â?? it was even decorated with a white ribbon and Simon wore a rather fetching tartan cap whilst carrying out his chauffeuring duties.
The girls and Simon arrived at the Register office and before going in our photographer, Sarah, took some photos of us, we then made our way into the Register office where I discovered that Tim wasnâ??t there! Fortunately he wasnâ??t far away Joshua had just needed a wee wee and had a chosen an inopportune time to make the announcement and require assistance. Tim finally emerged and I think he was a little shocked by what he saw as he kept telling me that he thought I was going to wear a purple dress when infact I had chosen a very traditional dress!
We made our way to the waiting room in the Register office where we had more photographs taken and then it was time for the ceremony. Daniel and I waited outside until Tim and the other guests were seated and then Daniel walked me into the room and â??gave me awayâ? for marriage!
The ceremony was lovely although both Tim and I had a few little laughs as we had to all each other Timothy and Janet â?? and I have to admit I did stumble over a few of my words but all in all it went very well and the reading done by Beverly was beautiful.
We signed the registers and then it was time to leave the Register office and have some more photos taken, we made our way up to Walton Gardens where we spent an hour or so drinking bucks fizz in the glorious sunshine and having lots of photographs taken â?? the highlight of which was me having to climb over a fence in my wedding dress so that we could have a photograph next to the waterfall â?? I have to say it was worth it!!
After the photographs were done we made our way to The Olive Press for our lunch â?? by this time the 3pk and I were exhausted with excitement and whilst the rest of the party ate their lunch we all crashed out and had a little sleep â?? there is even a photograph of the four of us asleep â?? I never thought I would fall asleep at my own wedding breakfast, however there were just the nine of us in a private room at the restaurant so it didnâ??t matter.
When lunch was over we all went back to our house, where I was sort of carried over the threshold by my husband â?? unfortunately my dress and Daniel hampered the carrying, so I was more thrown over than carried over!
We all changed out of our wedding clothes and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing in preparation for the Surprise Birthday Party due to take place at 7pm that evening.
